The Tongariro Crossing, is world renowned, and offers a full day of hiking where you get to see crater lakes, volcanic areas, glaciers, crystal clear streams and amazing views. If you’re more adventurous and have a bit of strength, there are lots of great rock climbing options in the area. If you want to take things easy, you can enjoy a round of golf at one of the all weather courses.
