Trout fishing, white water rafting, hiking and so much more
July 28th, 2010 . by adminThere is so much to see and do in Ruapehu. The central park area is most well known for its ski hills, but it offers so much more than that. You can go trout fishing, white water rafting, hiking, mountain biking and so much more. The Tongariro Crossing, is world renowned, and offers a full day of hiking where you get to see crater lakes, volcanic areas, glaciers, crystal clear streams and amazing views. If you’re more adventurous and have a bit of strength, there are lots of great rock climbing options in the area. If you want to take things easy, you can enjoy a round of golf at one of the all weather courses. If you want to do something really fun and very unique, then try following New Zealand’s very own kiwi bird, but in the dark.
