Call it “java” or “joe,” add “latte” or “mocha” or “au Lait” to name a few, make it in a gourmet coffee maker, a grinder or an old electric coffee maker, use powder out of a bottle or put it through a decaffeination process. There have never been so many options on how to prepare, drink and enjoy coffee. Some street corners have two competing coffee houses. Casual restaurants are still called coffee shops. Supermarkets have whole sections devoted to different coffees, and countries tout their exports as being better than the neighboring country. There are special Demitasse cups for drinking just a little and “World’s Best Father” mugs and as many ways to enjoy Espresso – Breve, Lungo, Macchiato, Roast – as coffee kiosks in airports.
