Gene Simmons was and still is the bass player for who some say is the most well known band of all time. Gene has been the bass player for Kiss for over thirty years. Normally the lead singer is the most well known member of any band. That is how this band differs from others. Gene is the most popular member, and tee shirts and other figurines have been made in his honor featuring his signature move, the long tongue sticking out. These days the band rarely performs except for a recent performance on the Fox reality show that features young talent, American Idol.
